Wait, how much?

I went to SeenOn.com today to check out today's vintage Chanel jewelry sale. To my surprise, I saw my fantastic 1980's Chanel figurine earrings...

... for $500!!

Lesson learned - don't buy vintage designer jewelry from fancy vintage stores. Instead, read and read and read about how to spot fakes until you feel comfortable buying on ebay.com. You can get fantastic deals --my earrings were under $200!

New ring - part 2

For anyone who has read my blog before, it is quite obvious that I am going through a gold jewelry phase. I just love it, and I can't seem to get enough of it.

For a while, I have been admiring Leila Kashanipour's ram ring.
$380 available here.

I can't quite rationalize spending that much on a ring. So, I found a fantastic kudo ring by Skova Soul.
I purchased it for $34 on hautelook.com, but it is also available here for $86.

Erin also got one is a brassy color. We'll match. A-dor-able, eh?

Packing for Paradise

In just over a week, I am headed to Paradise Island with the most amazing person on earth!

Jealous, right?

Well, in preparation for my fantastic vacation, I bought some summery items (which, by the way, were incredibly hard to find in February).

Long horn pendant

Beautiful huge dangle earrings

Large gold bangle

I am still on the fence about it, but I did buy a Juicy Couture retro high-waisted bikini.

This is dedicated to you, Holdie & Chess.

Earlier this month, my family lost one member of our family, our beautiful 12-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever / Lab mix. Now, my bassett hound is sick. So, I dedicate this post to the perros I love.

Recent Purchases - 24 Hour $24 Dress Sale

Each day around 11:00 am, I receive countless emails from various Gilt-esque websites. The premise is simple -- designer clothes are offered at hugely discounted rates, but like a trunk show, it is first come, first served. One of these fantastic websites is SeenOn, and today they are offering a 24 hour $24 dress sale. I couldn't resist buying two dresses, one that I think will be fantastic for work events this summer, and another that will be fabulous for going out!

This classy little number is Trina Turk's McKinley dress in Blue Macaw.
Original price: $248
Purchase Price: $24
It's sold out on SeenOn, but it is available on Amazon for $130.89

It is hard to find hot weather dresses that are work appropriate, but I think this dress is just perfect. Not to mention, the waistline and seaming are incredibly flattering.

The second dress I purchased is this Literature Noir Jane dress.
Original Price: $270
Purchase Price: $24

Look at that back...

Happy Birthday, Mr. Cobain.
